This week just a short newsletter, welcoming new members and offering some signposts to great salsa in London as Autumn hits.
Do you know someone who deserves the joy of dance? If so, please point them in the direction of Londonsalsa.co.uk .
You may ask how do you know if someone deserves - the answer is that if they will be happier because they will relish the physical side, they would benefit from meeting new people or even flourish as a result of learning a new skill, then salsa could easily be a great answer. If you are already a dancer, then you already are in a position to make that judgement because you already know what it has brought to you.
This weekend, 8-11th November, the Isle of Wight Salsa festival could be the place to be.Last year was filled with good lessons and friendly students, as well as a social bump as more local dancers filed in for the evening parties. The hotel is very taditional but our salsa hosts make sure even dinner times are communally fun.
Saturday afternoon, Pexava offer a matinee salsa social in Islington.
For those looking for thier first steps, why not try Salsa Rapido at Bar Salsa Soho this Sunday, where you get 5 hours of tuition that aims to give you confidence for your first salsa social.
If you'd prefer a weekly drop-in in Soho, then try Metrolatina at Bar Salsa on Wednesday, where there is a free intro to dance followed by salsa lessons at all levels and a social dance.
Looking into the future :.
Early bird, discounted tickets are on sale now for The Latin Collective London Deluxe all dayer at Bar Salsa Temple on Sunday 17th November.
Why not make a weekend of it by including a Friday night of dance?Your choice on Friday 15th is between the 20th anniversary of El Grande, at SCALA in Kings Cross, with 4 rooms of dance, including salsa, bachata & kizomba till 5am, or All Stars Salsa in Totteridge's 9th anniversary, featuring DJ Hughie.
