The reasons for taking up dancing for many of us include physical fitmess, the challenge, the love of music or the possibility of meeting new friends. If that is you, then hopefully we have designed the functionality on www.londonsalsa.co.uk to help you do all of these.
For those who are regular readers, you'll know I'm tempting you to dance more than once each week, simply to double the positives. For newer members, the reason that the regulars read our weekly newsletter is that we highlight some of the best teachers and venues, certainly make sure you know in advance of great events so you can get the early bird prices or even to remind them to chat with other members.
If you literally have just found out about the comeraderie of the salsa scene, then be prepared to catch the salsa bug. I have seen it loom up on so many people. It begins with the single lesson, "Just to try it out". It incubates as you progress through the beginner phases. If everyone else can, then surely I can achieve a spin. Then its onto actually looking forward to the next lesson and the people you have met. Then there is the weekend intensive course that might be fun. It was, lets book a course and see if I can knock out the intermediates and then its the parties, parties parties - boom, you caught the salsa bug and you are out more night than you are in. It's worth it - you are fitter and you have a new set of friends who like doing the same thing.
