I know that the seasoned dancers, based in the capital, use www.londonsalsa.co.uk predominantly to find the best parties and specialised workshops but we are here also for those who are just thinking about taking up salsa or part way through the journey.

If you are just taking those beginners steps, look for the green chillies on site. The hotter the colour, the higher the level of classes.

The main item for our newsletter each week is our look ahead to forthcoming parties, lessons or workshops and anything else that we think will titivate.

A free intro to salsa starts at 7.30pm on Friday near Goodge Street with Salsa Dance Central.

The second Friday of each month brings the Salsa, Kizomba and Soul club night in Balham.  A night with classes in Salsa, Cuban Salsa, Soulful Line Dance and Kizomba followed by social dancing in 3 rooms, Salsa Soul Room, Kizomba Room and Cuban Chillout Room

Every Friday you are guaranteed a good night in Putney, where there is a free bachata class before all levels of salsa class and the chance to social dance.

The second Friday of each month brings the kizomba, soul and cuban salsa night in Balham, where there is a dedicated kizomba room till 2am.

There are limited places for the Ladies's styling course with Colleen in central London this Saturday from 2-4pm.

Criola is the 1st Kizomba monthly Saturday party in the UK with two rooms focusing in Kizomba and umbrellas branch only.

Ginga Boo UK aims to recreate the festival feeling right in the heart of London, Russell Square by offering two large party rooms with the "Ginga Boo room" dedicated to Kizomba, and the "Bijoulili room" dedicated to Urban Kiz.

Salsatricity in Barnet this Saturday offers lessons in salsa, bachata, merngue, cha cha and kizomba before their 2-roomed Cream themed celebration of life party.

In Bar Salsa Soho on Sunday you can claim £5 off the i2i Core Moves for Improvers intensive workshop, starting at 11am.

Ilford Sports Club invites you to an afternoon of fun social salsa dancing between the hours of 2pm and 6pm on Sunday, with DJ Hughie on the decks.

Midweek choices abound, whether you are seeking to learn or party.
Every night, north, south, east, west and central you will discover venues to learn Cuban, crossbody, cali or Colombian as well as bachata or kizomba.

From Deptford in the east to Ruislip in the West, Sam Sleek's offering in Camden and LondonFunSalsa near Old Street, Monday is a favourite night to take lessons.


Tuesday night in Kilburn comes with a £2 discount when quoting London Salsa for the multiple levels of class.  The social dance is free.

Todo Latino at Salsa Temple on Tuesday start the night with a free intro class.
There are 2 hours of lessons in both salsa and bachata, then club dancing till late.

Wednesday's options include Metrolatina ar Bar Salsa Soho, where the free intro is followed by salsa lessons for all levels and social dancing.
