June is going to be a scorcher on the dance floors in London

<Hi

Following a truly memorable bank holiday weekend that saw not only great dancing but also a lightening show that was simply mesmerising, we have another week, and indeed month, of salsa fun.

Whether you are beginning your salsa journey or a seasoned salsero, this newsletter aims to ensure you get the most out of London this June.

Everyone has to take a first step.
HotWe all have to learn our 123s and 567s.
Not every dance will be perfect.
But when one is, I promise you'll go home floating on a cloud of elation.

Whilst you are chasing that blissful track, enjoy the friendships you are making and consider the fun you are giving and sharing. For those that use the dance as part of a fitness regime, resist the sugary treats temptingly offered by thoughtful hosts.

My final general advice for the week comes as the temperatures are set to soar again but actually is valid most nights in the hot, hot salsa scene - take along a change of tops. Everyone appreciates a fresh partner.

Onto what you really open and read the newsletter for:

I know I say it every week but then there are new members every week, so for those who aren't satisfied with the newsletter options, hop back to LondonSalsa.co.uk and there is a fuller selection, both of lessons for all levels, courses, parties, workshops and even a salsa cruise on the Thames in July that you can book now (why not get a little crowd together to share a fab experience?).

More immediately, this Thursday, Conway Hall in Holborn hosts the once a month Pexava after work social. Knowing that there will be the perfect dance floor, top DJs and plenty of experienced dancers, means this event is a must.

As always for Friday, Putney Salsa club start with lessons for all levels, including an absolute beginners session that is free for 1st timers, so invite a friend along. This is followed by a social that is well attended.

Weekly on Friday, there are bachata, kizomba, cuban salsa, semba and crossbody salsa lessons in Whetstone, with lots of free snacks.

I know it isn't strictly salsa, but there will be plenty of chances to dance at the Rollin Stoned concert on Friday in Richmond.

With dancing till 2am in Great Portland Street, Salsa Fusion offer 2 rooms of dance in Central London this Saturday.

Although they have forgotten to list on London Salsa, I am aware that the teams of Salsateca and I Like it Like That are teaming up to put on a Dorance Lorza & Sexteto Cafe concert in central London, that really should be a very good night.

Please note that Salsatricity make their monthly appearance in Borehamwood this Saturday, taking with them the formula of bachata, kizomba and salsa lessons for all levels followed by late night party.

In Bourne End, the monthly social includes a lesson from 8-9pm followed by dancing till midnight.

Your Sunday early evening wind down can be found in the form of a live salsa band in Richmond, where you should quote London Salsa for your members discount.

A new month brings new monthly courses as well as the regular drop-in lessons throughout the week.

Camden salsaFor Tuesday, a brand new 4-week absolute beginners salsa course is offered in Northfields by Pexava, alongside the drop in session for other levels.

Rasa starts a 4-week course in Farringdon on Tuesday focussing on crossbody On2

Streetbeat are at Gabeto in Camden for their long-running "home of rueda in London" Tuesday mecca.

The new monthly Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha and Kizomba courses in Paddington, with Caramelo, start on Wednesday. There are multiple ways to save a couple of £s by choosing to do multiple courses.

Hammersmith Club is right back on the agenda for Wednesdays. Their offer of a free 1st timer absolute beginners lesson is still in place, there are multiple level lessons and a social.

Metrolatina at Bar Salsa in Soho combines lessons in salsa and bachata with late night dancing.

Caramelo offer popular and friendly Salsa, Bachata and both mens and ladies Styling 4-week courses on Thursdays in Paddington (Thursday 7th).
Combine with Caramelo Wednesday to get options of multiple classes.

June has so much for you.

There is the launch night  in Windsor on Sunday 10th, with a live band.
Same night in Acton (West London), the Hot Salsa monthly party is rapidly becoming a destination night out, each time with good shows, a DJ, animations and impromptu rueda with the teachers leading the way.

The following weekend, 15-17th June, the Ginga Boo Kizz Festival UK, in Milton Keynes, is still offering members £5 off advertised prices. A full weekend of kizomba, urban kiz, semba and afrohouse, including workshops with international teachers, shows and late night parties.
