Hi
I'm Leigh.
I, with some friends, took over London Salsa early in 2010 with the determination to provide Londoners and visitors to the capital with the most accurate salsa listings site for London.
From there things have gone mad and the site is vibrant on and off line, including salsa World Record attempts and an association with Big Dance

I began to learn salsa in 2007- two left feet to start with, but with tuition from Chandy and Chryssa slowly became an intermediate, - Click here to see

I had given up rugby and needed something to get my blood pumping and soon discovered it wasn't just the lessons and dancing afterwards. At most classes or events there was a friendly atmosphere and as a single man, a great chance to meet miss right (that hasn't happened yet).
What has happened is that I have a whole pile of dance partners in almost every venue I go to, who simply don't let me off the floor (Thanks particularly to the 2Bs and the rest of you)

Having danced and taken a weekly lesson for about 3 years, one of the most respected salsa promoters took me to one side and offered me the chance to buy this site.
He couldn't run the site with impartiality and wanted to do the best for the London salsa scene by letting me have a whirl. Basically to raise awareness of salsa in general as opposed to one particular teacher or promoter. Since then the site has gone from strength to strength.

I visit as many salsa venues and events as I can each week, with the aim of eventually meeting all the teachers and of course as many of you as possible.

Please don't push me to say who is the best teacher or which venue is the best - All I'll say is that I really enjoy live salsa bands and urge you to support events with them!
